1.Common lighting fixture materials-PS PC, stainless steel, aluminum alloy


The materials of the lighting housing are varied, and there are many choices for manufacturers according to different production costs. Common materials include plastic, metal, wood, and even some less common composite materials, ceramics, etc. There are more choices for each material. For example, plastic materials are divided into cheaper polypropylene PP, polycarbonate PC, and polystyrene PS. The three characteristics have their own advantages, and heat resistance, strength, toughness, and UV resistance have their own advantages and disadvantages; for example, metal materials are also divided into aluminum alloy and stainless steel. The corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy and stainless steel is relatively excellent. Aluminum alloy is lighter and stainless steel is heavier. In more detail, aluminum alloy is also divided into stretched aluminum, die-cast aluminum, stamped aluminum and other materials. Stainless steel is also divided into different grades such as 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel.

2.Common surface treatment methods-powder spraying, plastic spraying, paint spraying, water transfer printing


Powder spraying

Powder spraying is a common surface treatment method for lighting housings. Simply put, the metal shell is placed in a high-temperature container, and the powder is adsorbed on the surface under the action of the electrostatic field to form a coating, and then cured by high-temperature baking. For powder spraying, the most critical thing is the pretreatment of the metal shell. In order to allow the powder to better adhere to the metal surface, the metal surface needs to be degreased rusted cleaned purified polished, etc., to ensure that the metal shell surface is smooth, clean and dirt-free, and then powder sprayed. In this way, the metal shell is not prone to peeling of the powder spray layer.


Plastic spraying

Plastic spraying paint (also known as porcelain spraying paint, multi-layer pattern paint, relief paint, gorgeous spray brick, Bon spray brick) is an aggregate building paint with organic polymer or a composite of organic material and inorganic material such as silica sol as the main film-forming material. Commonly used organic polymers include styrene acrylic emulsion, pure acrylic emulsion, epoxy acrylic emulsion, vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer emulsion, water-emulsion epoxy resin, etc. Mixed fillers commonly use rutile titanium dioxide, lead powder, zinc oxide, talcum powder, mica powder, quartz powder and fibrous materials such as asbestos wool. The type and amount of additives depend on the base material.


Painting

Painting is to disperse liquid paint (commonly known as paint) into paint mist particles with the help of compressed air and adhere to the surface of the object to be coated, while powder spraying is to disperse powder into powder mist particles under the action of high-voltage static electricity with the help of compressed air and adsorb them on the surface of the object to be coated through the electric field.
